We offer you a cyanotype set. The set consists of 2 bottles, (part A and part B) each containing the powder content of ferricyanide potash red (part A) and ferric ammoniacal citrate (part B) necessary to form 2 x 125ml bottles of each of the components.<\/p>\n

Just top up each bottle with water and you will have 125ml of both 15% red potassium ferricyanide (part A) and 125ml of 25% ferric ammoniacal citrate (part B).<\/p>\n

Subsequently, you will only have to apply the same content of each of the parts to apply in your cyanotype process.<\/p>\n

SET 125ml<\/h2>\n

PART A: 18,75g Potassium Ferricyanide Red<\/a> (to form a 125 ml solution of 15% red potassium ferricyanide red)
\nPART B: 31,25g Ferric Ammonium Citrate<\/a>(to form a 125 ml solution of ferric ammonium citrate ammoniacal at 25%)<\/p>\n

CYANOTYPE SET. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For use in photography, on paper or textile.<\/p>\n

Contents: PART A (Potassium Ferricyanide) & PART B (Ammonium Ferric Citrate).<\/p>\n

The 2 bottles in the set (Part A and Part B) contain the necessary product so that, when filled with water, they can be used in the same proportion. Once filled with water, each bottle will contain 125ml of product.<\/p>\n

Instructions<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Fill each container with water to create the solutions: SOLUTION A AND B.<\/li>\n
  2. Stir until the powder is completely dissolved.<\/li>\n
  3. Mix equal parts of SOLUTION A and SOLUTION B to create the cyanotype sensitiser in dim lighting.<\/li>\n
  4. We recommend mixing only the product you are going to use. The mixture is only stable for 2-4 hours.<\/li>\n
  5. Cover the paper or cloth with the sensitiser, expose to the sun and leave to air dry in the dark.<\/li>\n
  6. Once dry, make exposures in the sun (3 to 30 minutes, depending on conditions) or under a UV light source, placing objects or a film negative on the coated surface to create an image.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note: overexposure to light is always better than under-exposure. The preparation should take on a bronze colour after correct exposure.<\/p>\n

    1. Remove the negative or frame from the treated paper and immerse the paper in cold water for at least 5 minutes, changing the water periodically until it is light coloured. Allow to air dry. In approximately 24 hours, the print will oxidise to its final deep blue colour. To instantly oxidise the print to its final colour, soak it in a dilute hydrogen peroxide bath after washing, then rinse and dry.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Note: cyanotype prints last over time. However, if they are exposed to high pH or phosphate environments they may turn yellow. For textiles wash with phosphate-free detergents and should be treated with care, avoiding sweat or grease.<\/p>\n
