La fluorescence ne doit pas \u00eatre confondue avec la phosphorescence. Dans le cas de la phosphorescence, les particules stockent l'\u00e9nergie et la restituent une fois l'irradiation par la lumi\u00e8re ultraviolette termin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour bien comprendre le processus de fluorescence, il est n\u00e9cessaire de se rappeler le mod\u00e8le des orbitales atomiques et des orbitales mol\u00e9culaires. Selon le principe d'incertitude, un \u00e9lectron peut se trouver dans une certaine gamme de niveaux d'\u00e9nergie, dans un niveau inf\u00e9rieur ou sup\u00e9rieur. Il existe des orbitales \u00e0 faible \u00e9nergie et des orbitales \u00e0 haute \u00e9nergie. Par d\u00e9faut, les \u00e9lectrons pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent occuper des orbitales de faible \u00e9nergie, mais ils peuvent occuper transitoirement des niveaux d'\u00e9nergie plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces sauts orbitaux sont obtenus dans certaines substances en les irradiant avec de l'\u00e9nergie. Il a tendance \u00e0 \u00e9mettre une lumi\u00e8re de couleur rose.<\/li><li>Uranium : Ce min\u00e9ral a un rayonnement verd\u00e2tre d\u00fb au fait qu'il s'agit d'une mati\u00e8re radioactive.<\/li><li><strong>Mat\u00e9riaux organiques :<\/strong> Ils doivent principalement leur fluorescence aux compos\u00e9s min\u00e9raux qui les forment avec la mati\u00e8re organique. Les principaux exemples sont les suivants :\n<ul>\n<li>Champignon Mycena Lux-coeli. On pense qu'ils acqui\u00e8rent cette propri\u00e9t\u00e9 pour attirer les insectes afin d'effectuer la dispersion des spores.<\/li>\n<li>Chlorophylle : La chlorophylle pr\u00e9sente dans les feuilles des plantes capte l'\u00e9nergie du soleil pour r\u00e9aliser la photosynth\u00e8se, et une partie de cette \u00e9nergie doit \u00eatre dissip\u00e9e pour ne pas endommager la feuille. Une partie est dissip\u00e9e sous forme de chaleur et une autre sous forme de fluorescence. Il est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de couleur verte.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fluorescence de la fluoresc\u00e9ine de sodium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La fluoresc\u00e9ine de sodium est l'une des substances, parmi les produits chimiques, qui ont la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de fluorescence et qui sont parmi les plus utilis\u00e9es, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 leur facilit\u00e9 de transport et leur stabilit\u00e9. La fluoresc\u00e9ine de sodium est utilis\u00e9e \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 des fins m\u00e9dicales pour la d\u00e9tection oculaire et dans le domaine hydrologique pour la d\u00e9tection de fuites et de traces dans les zones aquatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p>L'\u00e9mission de fluoresc\u00e9ine de sodium est maximale \u00e0 pH 8 et \u00e0 une longueur d'onde d'environ 550 nm.
