Calcium sulphate or calcium sulphate is also called micronised alabaster or micronised gypsum. With the chemical formula CaSO4-2H2O, it is used as a mineral filler for the paint, paper, plastics, adhesives and other industries. It is also used to increase the hardness of water, for example in aquariums.
