DIATOMACEOUS EARTH COMPOSITION

The richness and chemical composition of the most important elements are:

Silicon (SiO2)............................................62,00%
Calcium Carbonate (CaCO4)....................34,50%
Calcium (CaO)....................................................19,30%
Lime Sulphate (CaSO4).........................0,22%
Magnesium (MgO).................................................0,45%
Phosphorus (P2O5)...................................................0,13%
Potassium (K2O)......................................................0,18%
Iron (Fe2O3)...................................................0,72%
Aluminium (Al2O3).............................................1,40%
Chlorine (Cl)...............................................................0,05%

Diatomaceous earth contains up to 40 mineral nutrients. These include primary nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, as well as secondary nutrients such as calcium, magnesium and sulphur. There are also 13 other primary and secondary trace elements, which, although present in small quantities, are indispensable for the development and life of plants.

  • 3 main nutrients: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K)
  • 3 Secondary nutrients: Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), and Sulphur (S).
  • 6 Major trace elements: Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo).
  • 7 Secondary trace elements: Silicon (Si), Cobalt (Co), Fluorine (F), Nickel (Ni), Selenium (Se), Tin (Sn), Iodine (I) and Vanadium (V).

USES OF DIATOMACEOUS EARTH

MULTI-CORRECTIVE ACTION PLANTS

The high cation exchange capacity (C.I.C.) allows all the macro and micro elements it provides to be assimilated by the plants, making it a great multicorrector of the deficiencies that plants may suffer during their growing cycles.

DOSAGE

  • PLANT DOSE: Sprinkle between 200 and 300 gr/m2.
  • SUBSTRATE: Sprinkle 10/15gr/litre of substrate.

CONTROL OF PARASITES IN ANIMALS AND HUMANS.

Diatomaceous earth is suitable for the control of parasites in animals and humans. Insects such as lice, ticks, fleas, bedbugs can be treated with diatomaceous earth.

The application would be to apply the powder directly to the animal using a talcum powder or hand spraying. The dosage in this case would be 1g per kg of animal (0 grams per kg of animal). It can also be applied at a rate of 20% - 30% in pet shampoos.

It is also recommended to sprinkle lightly on animal bedding, and in the human environment it can be applied in both country and city houses, sprinkling the product in wardrobes, pantries, storerooms or any other place you wish to protect from insects such as spiders, moths, mosquitoes, cockroaches, mites, etc.

100% is harmless in animals and humans.

SEED PROTECTOR.

Organic treatments are very effective in controlling insects, bacteria and fungi during storage of wheat, barley, soya beans, maize, etc. and especially against weevils.

In addition to protecting the seeds, diatomaceous earth considerably increases their germination power, reduces their humidity and increases their specific weight.

SEED PROTECTION DOSE:

At 2 to 3 kg per MT of grain seed, for medium storage periods, i.e. up to about 12 months, you can basically store your seed from one crop to the next.

DIATOMACEOUS EARTH AS FUNGICIDE

Diatomaceous earth is composed of amorphous organic silicon, i.e. it is not the conventional silicon we know and is used in various industries. This amorphous peculiarity makes it a phytoalexin inducer.

It is a natural system similar to vaccines, which are synthesised with weakened viruses of the same diseases against which animals and humans are immunised. These, by producing and having the necessary antibodies that neutralise the slight infection produced by the vaccine, provide defences to prevent any infection, which will not progress because they have defences.

  • PLANT DOSE: Sprinkle between 200 and 300 gr/m2.
  • SUBSTRATE: Sprinkle 10/15gr/litre of substrate.

INSECT CONTROL IN SOIL CROPS

Diatomaceous earth acts as a drying agent for cold-blooded insects. The insects start to dry out and die, so it is a great ally to mix in our growing soil or substrate and control soil insects such as ants, snails, soil worms, etc.

  • Mites, Ticks, Flies, Aphids, Spiders, Weevils, Mosquitoes, Horseflies, Slugs, Crickets, Caterpillars, Termites, Snails, Ants, Lice, Locusts, Touctures, Bedbugs, Midges, Moths, Mealybugs, Cockroaches, Locusts, Fleas, Maggots, Worms
  • DOSE ON PLYWOOD: 100gr/m2.
  • ORCHARD DOSE: 250gr/m2
