The magnesium sulphate is a magnesium salt. Alquera is marketed in heptahydrate grade, with chemical formula MgSO4*7H2O. Magnesium sulphate is a source of magnesium that is rarely found unhydrated, so when we talk about this magnesium salt we always say it is in heptahydrated form. In agriculture it is used to correct magnesium deficiencies. When dissolved in water, this salt also greatly increases the density of the water, which is why it is used for flotation therapies, allowing the body to float more easily in denser water.
