Sodium carbonate or sodium carbonate is also known as Soda Solvay. It is a white salt. The fields of use of sodium carbonate are among other things the manufacture of soap, glass and dyes. It is also known as barrilla, natron, Solway soda, Solvay soda, Ash soda, soda ash and soda. The name Solvay is given after Eduard Solvay, who discovered the Solvay method is used for the manufacture of sodium carbonate 95% on an industrial scale.
