- Low form beaker
- Made of borosilicate glass LBG 3.3. Conforms to DIN 12331.
- Graduated and spiked
A beaker is a thin vessel commonly used in the laboratory, for preparing or heating substances, for measuring or handling liquids.
The beakers you find at Alquera are made of borosilicate glass and are graduated. The graduation is inaccurate, although it is valid for very rough measurements of volumes, it should not be used for volume measurements where high accuracy is needed.
BOROSILICATE BEAKERS
Alquera beakers are made of borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass has a lower coefficient of expansion than ordinary glass (approx. 1/3). This makes it more resistant to temperature changes than ordinary glass.
Borosilicate glass begins to soften at around 821 °C.
