A food colouring powder (or dry colour) is a type of food additive that is added to give or restore colour to food.
CHARACTERISTICS BROWN-BROWN COLOURING
Composition: Mixture of Comitex Yellow, Comitex Red 4R and Comitex Black standardised with sodium chloride
Pure dye content: 57 - 63%
Water-insoluble: max. 0,2%
Extractable in ether: max. 0,2%
Heavy metals:
- Pb max. 2 ppm
- As max. 3 ppm
- Hg max. 1 ppm
- Cd max. 1 ppm
Suitable colouring for food (DOUE REG 1333/2008/CE – appendix), cosmetics (OJEU Reg. 1223/2009/EC) and pharmacy (Dir. 2009/35/EC). It complies with the specifications of the EU (DOUE REG 231/2012/UE). Consult in the legislation in force the dosages and authorised applications
